Moore College of Art and Design, just a five-minute walk from Trinity Row, was founded in 1848 by Sarah Worthington Peter as the Philadelphia School of Design for Women. This school was the first women’s art school in the country. Today, the college, which was renamed in 1932, serves just over 400 students with the majority being female undergraduates. The college welcomes co-eds in its graduate and post-grad programs.
